DENVER, CO, August 31, 2009 - Hosting.com, the leading provider of global managed hosting, cloud hosting and colocation solutions, today announced that it will combine HostMySite and Hosting.com under the Hosting.com name over the next several weeks. Customers of the new company will receive the same quality of support and service provided since the acquisition of Hosting.com was announced on May 19, 2009. Immediate changes include a unified web presence, portal and customer experience.
Hosting.com worked with the Brand Institute to evaluate the names HostMySite and Hosting.com with customers, prospects, and industry analysts. The Hosting.com name more accurately represents the company's goal to provide both SMB's and enterprise companies with unparalleled service, support and infrastructure options.
"Online research and consumption have transformed all industries - as a result, Hosting.com is the strongest branding asset in the hosting industry today," noted David Dettore, Western Division and Asia President for Brand Institute, Inc. "Our research found that Hosting.com directly communicates the company's ability to provide secure, reliable hosting solutions that result in mutually beneficial relationships between the customer and service provider."
HostMySite attracted relationships with many of the world's top companies and developed an enthusiastic following from website and application designers, developers, and administrators since 1997. For that reason, Hosting.com will retain HostMySite as the brand for all shared hosting plans and services provided by the company.
Hosting.com CEO, Art Zeile added, "Both Hosting.com and HostMySite are highly regarded in the hosting and colocation industries; however, Hosting.com allows us to more effectively achieve our vision to introduce infrastructure outsourcing as a viable and cost effective solution to all businesses. We are resolute in our determination to bring enterprise-class service and performance to businesses of all sizes."
Hosting.com provides customers with managed hosting, colocation and cloud hosting options to architect, safeguard and expand their hosted applications, sites and critical data assets with a PCI and SAS 70 Type II compliant provider. Hosting.com provides customers with a geographically dispersed platform across multiple data centers from coast to coast (Newark, Delaware; Louisville, Kentucky; Denver, Colorado; San Francisco and Irvine, California).
Over the next few months, Hosting.com will launch solutions that provide: data center interconnectivity, virtual colocation, physical and virtual disaster recovery enhancements, and a client portal that will reset the industry standard on the control and flexibility hosting companies must provide to their customers.
Zeile added, "Obviously, a company's name is paramount to their growth and continued success - even more important is a company's ability to continually innovate and deliver on the promises they provide to every customer. Hosting.com has and will continue to do both with vigor and precision."
As part of the overall consolidation strategy, Hosting.com is relocating the company's corporate headquarters to Denver, Colorado. The 43,000 square foot corporate offices and data center in downtown Denver will open this week on September 3, 2009.
